HTC Desire X

Overall a little decent device from HTC . Looks like a clone of the HTC One X that also got some design features that it's big brother lacks due to the "Simplicity" design used there . The metal stripe around the device , and the frame on the backside around the camera are the only design changes saving for the smaller size of course .

Performance wise is nothing new or even worth mentioning since it's using a new however cut donw Qualcomm chipset that does have 2 cores , lacks  the power and GPU performance though .
It's more of a trade off just to call the phone a dual core one , in part to justify it's price rather an effort to create a good performer .
It does provide a good battery life given the not so power hungry screen and set of features .

Sense lacks some 3D effects and some functions that either require better hardware to run or they are just missing to differentiate the device from it's bigger brothers . It looks as it was carried over to the 800x480 screen resolution just to create the Desire X , with corners cut . There are menus where text overlaps text entry fields and some menu elements do not scale nicely to this resolution . Development costs could be the reason , the phone is not cheap though....

The screen is probably the only part of the phone that is satisfying . Color reproduction is excellent , and viewing angles are great . The 800x480 resolution is normal given the price range . The overall combination of this screen with Sense UI creates a nice feel .

I like the small size and weight , it could  propably use better materials especially for the back cover .
